1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Wonder Word Kids. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wonder Word Kids platform, including our websites at wonderword.io and wonderwordkids.com, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
Wonder Word Kids is operated by Wonder Word Inc., a company incorporated and registered in the Province of Alberta, Canada. Our principal place of business is in Alberta, Canada. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, regardless of location. We serve churches and religious organizations worldwide, and these Terms are designed to comply with Canadian law while respecting the legal requirements of our international users.
2. Description of Service
Wonder Word Kids is a children's ministry management platform designed for churches and religious organizations worldwide. The Service includes features for:
- Lesson planning and curriculum management
- Child check-in and check-out systems
- Volunteer scheduling and management
- Family and child database management
- Attendance tracking and reporting
- Communication tools for ministry leaders
3. Account Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To use our Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
3.2 Account Requirements
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- You have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms
- Your use of the Service will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
- You will not share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
3.3 Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users.
4. Subscription and Payment
4.1 Subscription Plans
Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. Current pricing and plan details are available on our pricing page. All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD). We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice.
4.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
For Canadian customers: Applicable taxes (GST/HST/PST) will be added to your subscription as required by law.
For international customers: You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees required by your local jurisdiction. We may collect and remit taxes where legally required.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your paid period.
4.4 Refunds
Refunds may be provided at our discretion for billing errors or service issues. Contact us at billing@wonderword.io for refund requests.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or these Terms
- Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Transmit harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Collect or harvest user data without authorization
- Use the Service for any purpose other than children's ministry management
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Share your account access with unauthorized parties
- Send unsolicited commercial messages in violation of applicable anti-spam laws, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, or similar laws in your jurisdiction
6. User Content and Data
6.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all data and content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your User Content solely to provide the Service.
6.2 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents to submit it. You represent that your User Content does not violate any law or infringe any rights.
6.3 Data Protection
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your User Content in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including:
- Canada: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
- European Union/UK: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR
- United States: Applicable state privacy laws and COPPA for children's data
- Other jurisdictions: Applicable local privacy and data protection laws
However, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your critical data.
6.4 Data Export
Upon request, we will provide you with an export of your User Content in a commonly used format. This right is subject to applicable fees and reasonable timeframes.
7. Children's Information
Our Service is designed to manage information about children in a ministry context. You acknowledge and agree that:
- You will only input children's information with proper authorization from parents or guardians
- You will use children's information solely for legitimate ministry purposes
- You will implement appropriate access controls within your organization
- You will comply with all applicable laws regarding children's privacy in your jurisdiction, including PIPEDA/PIPA (Canada), COPPA (U.S.), GDPR (EU/UK), and other applicable laws
- You will promptly respond to parent requests to access, modify, or delete their children's information
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, content, and functionality, is owned by Wonder Word Inc. and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws, including copyright, trademark, and patent laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
8.2 License to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal ministry purposes.
8.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without restriction or compensation.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, cloud infrastructure providers). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such cases, the exclusions above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local law.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING THE LAWS OF ALBERTA AND CANADA, WONDER WORD INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability. In such cases, the limitations above may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under local law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wonder Word Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
For consumers in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection laws: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer or limits your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence as required by applicable local law.

15. International Users
The Service is operated from Alberta, Canada. We welcome users from around the world. If you access the Service from outside Canada, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
We make reasonable efforts to comply with applicable international privacy and data protection laws. Your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada, which has been recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate data protection.
For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with specific consumer protection laws, your statutory rights remain unaffected by these Terms.
16. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Wonder Word Inc. regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Language: These Terms are drafted in English. If translated, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
